pre-prologue: I am a work of fiction.

...I am a work of fiction. Everything about me is made-up.
...What you read might seem familiar. You may have experienced the same feelings, the same thoughts, may have put yourself through the same situations. Or maybe one of your friends did. Or you saw it on the news or read it online. Those situations were real. The ones you are about to read are not real because i am a work of fiction.

...I will start with a work of fiction that comes from this world of fiction: a myth. This myth will serve to explain a natural phenomenon from a pretend place. The phenomenon is water; the place is my home. They are the same thing.
